Morning Walk

Seemed a good day to get out for a walk today. The sun is out and there is a cool breeze in the air. The local wildlife thought it a good day to be out too, so we thought we'd show some pics of where we went.
This shows the local waterway that feeds into the Pacific Ocean.

Mr Percival queing up at the runway.
"Pelican flight one. clear for take off. Pelican flight two and three - please wait for clearance."

Winter Warmers

Now that the cooler weather is here..sorta kinda for the mid - north coast, its fortunate the house actually came with heating. So now we can cosy up to the fireplace and keep toasty warm.

No more cold days for us ! Hubby just needs to install where I tell him to...but I think I heard a muffled WTF??
Nearly 6 months and I can't believe I never saw this Victorian fireplace insert with its original Art Deco tiles on it, before. Look how close it is to the house...LOL. Not like its exactly small. I told Hubby just a bit of spit & polish & it will look the part. Again with the mumbles and possibly even a grunt?

The Aussie Hills Hoist

Iconic Aussie clothes line, the Hills Hoist. Just like Vegemite and Arnotts it has been a big  part of Australia's heritage and identity..until now.
This is our Hills  Hoist passionfruit vine holder. It was the De - Luxe version in the series, brought out especially for kitsch look in your garden. No seriously, it was here on arrival & I thought "Oh dear, that has to go", then it flowered and bear so much passionfruit, I had to freeze some. I have been having it everyday on my cereal now for 3 months and still lots to go. Thankfully I have another clothes line, exclusively for clothes!

Island Home

Home sweet home.
After spending too much time in the 'burbs we recently found our Island paradise in the countryside, by the ocean.
Working on the property to become more self sustainable, putting in our vege gardens, planting fruit trees and trying to bake bread...I said trying LOL.
This will be a work in progress & we will publish the progression here for our family friends and any one dropping by.
