Let The Harvest Begin !

We have plucked the first Spring Harvest !

It's the first time we have grown radish and it was here in 4 weeks.

There was so much, we had to pickle them and there is even more on the way.

The renovations for the main house have begun.

Now...just need him to put them in.

We were lucky enough to win a double pass to the Apple Store concert of 80 people of

CHRIS ISAAK !

Sunday Lounging Luncheon.

Decided to have a lazy lunch down at the point at The Waterbird restaurant, only a couple of kilometers down the road. A very pretty view and the food is wonderful.

Shame to go home really...well they do serve breakfasts too !

An Island within an Island - Flooded in.

Torrential rain for days now. Today it has stopped but the Manning River has broken its banks and all surrounding regions are flooded. Stuck on the Island here, unable to drive anywhere. Oh well just sit back and enjoy the peace.

Holiday at Home.

It was time for a small break, so down the coast for a dip in the biggest ocean pool we have ever seen.
Water was "just right" and the colours so inviting, ranges of blue, but crystal clear. Bonus is we only live up the road !

Its Been A While...

I realised I hadn't even made an entry this year, so thought I'd better drop in to let you know we're still here. It's been a busy beginning to the year and the blog page had been neglected. I have not had much time for pics and the weather has been unusually scortching hot - even burnt the succulents!

One thing though, I managed to have some sunflowers this summer.

Cicadas and Summer really go together and at times can be so loud. There have been lots of cicada shells on the trees. Amazing how they spend 17 years underground, then emerge to shell the nematode and evolve as a winged cicada. There was a big beast outside the window...

Tundra has had her summer coat trimmed and here I think she is day dreaming...

Tundra thought she could be all silly around her new boyfriend, Rikki.

Not sure if Rikki is that impressed !
